Animal Welfare Party makes complaint against Lidl’s Christmas Ad

The Animal Welfare Party has made a complaint to the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) over the supermarket chain Lidl’s new Christmas TV ad.

The complaint has been made on the grounds that it breaches section 4.2 of the BCAP code. (4.2 Advertisements must not cause serious or widespread offence against generally accepted moral, social or cultural standards).

AWP’s complaint to the ASA reads:

AWP support the repeal of Section 24

The Animal Welfare Party has given its backing to the campaign to repeal Section 24 of the Animals (Scientific Procedures) Act 1986, which places a blanket ban on regulators releasing
any information from animal experimentation laboratories.

The campaign, organized by the National Anti-Vivisection Society (NAVS), is also supported by PETA UK, Animal Aid and the Campaign for the Freedom of Information, among others.

The Animal Welfare Party is pleased to announce the launch of our new ‘Pledge to Vote’ feature on the new AWP website.
