AWP Holds Third Demo outside Manchester Airport Protesting Involvement in Animal Testing

Animal Welfare Party has today held its third peaceful demonstration outside Manchester Airport protesting against its involvement in the trade of flying live animals into the UK for use in animal testing.

Protestors braved the January wind, rain and hail to stand with banners reading ‘Animals Shipped to Testing Labs Through Manchester Airport’ and ‘Manchester Airport Complicit in Animal Testing’.

AWP Celebrates 2021 Local Election Results

Animal Welfare Party is celebrating some of its best results to date in the London Mayoral and Assembly Elections and in Lothian Region in the Scottish Parliament Elections. 

In the London Mayoral Election, AWP’s Vanessa Hudson received 16,826 first preference votes and 63,619 second preference votes.

Local campaigners from Animal Welfare Party are calling on East Lothian Council to halt a planned cull of pigeons in Dunbar.

The railway bridge on Spott Road and its resident wild pigeon population is the focus of attention from local people and wildlife groups after East Lothian councillors proposed to cull the pigeons and install anti-roosting bird netting under the bridge.
