Animal Welfare Party will stand four candidates in London, Hampshire and Dorset in the July 4th General Election.
AWP Leader, Vanessa Hudson will stand in the constituency of Bethnal Green and Stepney in London for the second time. Professor Andrew Knight will also stand for a second time in the constituency of New Forest East in Hampshire. Gavin Ridley will stand in the constituency of New Forest West in Hampshire for the first time and Sasha Jolliffe will stand in the constituency of Christchurch in Dorset also for the first time.
“We look forward to contesting the 2024 General Election with a team of committed advocates for animals and planet”, said AWP Leader, Vanessa Hudson. “We’re all motivated by a shared desire to ensure animal and environmental issues are part of the political debate and to share our vision of a future that is fairer and healthier for people, animals and the environment. We sincerely thank all our members and supporters for their support enabling us to field candidates in such a short timeframe.”
This will be the fifth General Election that the party has contested.
